Kitchen of the Month Winner for New Cabinetry for September

Kitchen Inspiration

When these homeowners in Fort Lauderdale purchased their house, they knew they would one day want to remodel the kitchen. They had a vision for what they wanted in a kitchen, but unfortunately with this kitchen being tucked between a few walls, their vision couldn’t become reality. This is where our team got involved. After meeting the homeowners, the Kitchen Solvers of Fort Lauderdale picked up on the style the homeowners liked and knew there wasn’t enough space for the homeowners to do the entertaining they wanted to do. That in mind, the team got to work by designing a space that would work best for them, while constantly collaborating and making sure it fit their needs and style.

After the design was agreed upon, the team got busy removing two of the three walls the kitchen was enclosed in. We made sure to put plastic up around the work area as every demolition is dusty and we wanted to keep the rest of their home intact. We did have some electrical and plumbing work that also needed to be done when removing the walls. We placed the appliances on the wall and part of a peninsula. A large center island was part of the wish list, and therefore we installed that too. We added drawers on one side and 12” deep cabinets on the back for additional storage. This island measures 52” x 100” and is one of the largest we have done. To give the kitchen some character, the couple decided to go with a duo-toned look. We used pewter cabinets on the island, which stood out from the rest of the white cabinet-lined kitchen. A tile backsplash, crown molding, under cabinet lighting, and sleek quartz countertops were added to complete the look. The result? These homeowners were ecstatic to get the kitchen they had been dreaming of in a space they didn’t imagine it to be possible!
