This kitchen truly feels like it should be in a completely different home after this Sunrise, Florida customer called Kitchen Solvers of Fort Lauderdale to help with their kitchen renovation. The customer was unhappy with the layout of their kitchen, so Kitchen Solvers started by replacing the L-shaped island peninsula with a large rectangular island with storage on both sides. By moving the microwave into the island, it opened up space for a beautiful range hood which added the modern look the customer was looking for. Next to the island microwave, they chose to put in a wine cooler for quick access while entertaining. Another goal of the customer was to create a more open and airy feel in their kitchen. Kitchen Solvers of Fort Lauderdale accomplished this by removing the upper cabinets on the back wall and replacing them with floating shelves. They could afford to do that because the closet pantry was removed and replaced with two large pantries with pullouts for even more storage options. 

Once the new cabinet layout was decided, it was time to choose the new and modern finishes. This customer chose a white shaker door that has a timeless, contemporary look. They chose a white base quartz countertop with beautifully delicate gray veining. They chose a gray subway tile backsplash to complement that goes from counter to ceiling behind the range hood for an added touch of modern. Black cabinet handles and drawer pulls add a sharp contrast to the white cabinets but are tied in with the new black light fixture. Finally, LED under cabinet lighting give this kitchen a glow to match the homeowner’s face every time they walk into their new kitchen.
