Kitchen of the Month Winner for New Cabinets for September

Kitchen Inspiration

This Weston, Florida homeowner was unsatisfied with the overall layout of her home. She wanted a more open concept feel throughout the kitchen, living room, and dining room as well as an integrated workspace. She called on Kitchen Solvers of Fort Lauderdale to help her make not only her kitchen, but her entire home dreams come true.

We started by opening up the space and removing the wall dividing the existing kitchen and dining room. This allowed us to extend the kitchen into the dining space and gave us a larger footprint to work with. We were able to install new, ‘L’ shaped perimeter cabinets along the two main walls of the kitchen along with a large 10×4 ft kitchen island with storage on both sides.  This new cabinet layout created room for a large sink under the window, a new coffee bar, a new wall double oven, and a beautiful new range and range hood that becomes the focal point of the new kitchen. The perimeter cabinets were done in a beautiful, clean white and the island is a contrasting dark grey. The new porcelain countertop and seamless backsplash tie them both together perfectly.

No detail was left untouched in this new kitchen. All of the cabinets include soft close pullouts and the drawers were customized with storage solutions to organize each and every kitchen utensil. The corner cabinet was built extra deep to include a large swing-out as well as a spice rack that is conveniently located right next to the stove. Lighting was essential to this kitchen design and new LED lights were placed under the lower and upper cabinets to highlight the kitchen both day and night. More overhead, recessed lighting was added in LED as well to better light the now larger space, and three modern pendants were hung over the new island as direct task lighting. Finally, USB power strips were hidden under the cabinets and on the island to make sure you’re never without power.

This homeowner’s new main floor living space is exactly what she was looking for. A large desk was installed on the wall of the former dining room and the dining room was shifted to the other side of the kitchen. Flooring throughout the whole floor was replaced with 48” by 48” rectified porcelain tile to give this home a truly open concept flow from one side to the other. This kitchen dream turned into an entire home dream come true for this happy customer.
