Kitchen of the Month Winner for Cabinet Refacing for November
Kitchen Transformation
Onalaska homeowners decided it was time to refresh their kitchen, however the cabinets were in good condition and they were just not fond of the style. The dated oak cabinets begged for an upgrade. Cabinet refacing allows homeowners to take their existing cabinetry and layout and give the whole kitchen a facelift and transformation. After meeting with this couple, it was clear the oak style had to go. Their home was a more transitional style and they were looking for a kitchen that would not only fit in, but also be the heart of their home. After meeting with them and discussing their functional and style needs, we determined together that the Shaker style door in maple and alder would be a good fit to accomplish this new look. The perimeter cabinets were refaced in a maple with a solid Spruce paint finish. The kitchen island was refaced in a rustic alder with a medium brown walnut stain finish. The shaker cabinet doors were added and the kitchen was instantly transformed into a more transitional look.
To complete the finishing touches, we incorporated floating shelves in stained alder. A new quartz countertop in the Viatera Muse color was installed and this kitchen went from transformed to absolutely stunning. The kitchen looks great, and is also more functional with added roll-out shelving. The homeowners now have a refreshed kitchen to gather in and enjoy their family and cooking time.
