Kitchen of the Month Winner for Cabinet Refacing for July

Kitchen Transformation

For this kitchen remodeling project in Waunakee, Wisconsin, the homeowners wanted to give their kitchen a completely new look. The kitchen was dated visually with basic oak cabinetry, but the existing cabinets were in great condition. We were able to repurpose a lot of the existing cabinets and create more storage and a different look. The lower cabinets were refaced in a red oak with the Nightfall combination stain and then matching Shaker style doors were added. For the upper cabinets, we installed all new cabinets with Polar White Catalina doors, giving the kitchen more of a long sleek look. We also squared out the arched walk-through areas going into the kitchen for a more clean-cut modern look with the square lines these homeowners were looking for.

To keep the kitchen a fresh, bright, and coordinated space, we also installed new quartz countertops in the Silestone Pietra color. This countertop brought both the white cabinetry and the dark wood lower cabinets together in a cohesive way. Finally, we added a subway white backsplash to bring the whole kitchen together. This old traditional kitchen is now a transitional style with the duo-toned look the homeowners were dreaming of. They are proud to spend time in this new updated space every day!
