Kitchen of the Month Winner for Cabinet Refacing for April
Kitchen Inspiration
This Reynoldsburg, Ohio customer knew their kitchen needed an update and they were happy to hear that their current cabinetry was in perfect shape for a reface. They were able to use all their existing perimeter cabinet boxes and simply add on two cabinets on either end of the island for additional storage and created a larger, functional prep space. They chose to reface the cabinets in the color white satin and went with classic Breckenridge doors. Adding molding to the top of the cabinets took the kitchen from casual to polished. The new beveled subway tile backsplash coordinated perfectly with the new granite white alamo countertops. The new hardware almost has a wood grain look to it that also pairs perfectly with the warm tones in the granite countertops.
The final touches don’t go unnoticed in this kitchen. Updating the lighting from a dated ceiling box light to overhead can lighting and a couple of statement light fixtures over the island and sink make all the difference. New luxury vinyl tile flooring replaced the dated ceramic tile and finally, an updated microwave and oven to match the other stainless steel appliances tie the whole room together. Most homeowners are moving away from the hardwired home telephone, but this homeowner leaned in and installed a bright red phone on the wall and let it become a focal point of their new kitchen. Thanks to Kitchen Solvers of Columbus, this customer’s wildest kitchen dreams became a reality.
