Kitchen of the Month Winner for New Cabinets for March

Kitchen Inspiration

This kitchen started out as a small, dark, and outdated kitchen. The homeowners were looking to brighten it up and make it a little more modern, but still keep it classic to last their style for years to come. Kitchen Solvers of Columbus opened up the kitchen by removing a wall between the existing kitchen and underutilized formal dining room. They added a large island with some seating and additional storage for a more functional kitchen space. The soffit was removed to give the kitchen a very open and large feeling.

The homeowners picked out a Manhattan door style from the Kitchen Solvers Classic Collection in two different colors to give it a duo-toned look. Snow and Shale were used as well as two different door materials, maple and knotty alder. The island was done in the Shale color, while the rest of the kitchen was done in Snow. Next, a new quartz countertop in Blanco, a Heirloom Linen backsplash, and recessed can lights set the kitchen into a brightness the homeowners couldn’t have ever even envisioned. New flooring and light fixtures were installed to finish the look. There were also floating shelves and a barn door from reclaimed wood added to give it a more transitional flair. The barn door slides, giving the space more functionality. The pantry door didn’t need to open up into the space and gives the homeowners more room. The homeowners are ecstatic with their new transitional kitchen remodel!
