Affordable Kitchen Countertops

Oftentimes, the remodeling world can be stressful to navigate. With so many options, styles, and designs, it’s hard not to occasionally feel overwhelmed. And along with each decision comes an added price. At Kitchen Solvers, we know a kitchen remodel can be timely and costly. We are here to ensure you have the most pleasant remodeling experience, and that experience includes helping you find the best materials for your money. Read below to learn about some of the most affordable kitchen countertop materials.

Ceramic Tile

Ceramic tile is a great affordable option for a kitchen countertop. Ceramic tile can be manufactured to have a uniformed appearance and comes in a wide range of colors guaranteeing your countertops will blend beautifully with the rest of the room. Along with appearance, ceramic tile is quite durable and anti-bacterial, so it requires less maintenance than other materials.

Quartz

Quartz is a personal favorite of ours. This nonporous material has great durability and strength. Although we still recommend using heat pads, quartz is heat resistant and doesn’t scratch easily. Design wise, quartz has finer detailing, so it maintains a consistent pattern. The thinner veining in quartz places an emphasis on the consistency of the color combination.

Laminate

Laminate kitchen countertops are one of the least costly materials around. Not only is laminate inexpensive, but it’s also easy to install. You might think back to laminate materials from the past and think they look cheap and out of style. However due to new printing technology and decorative edges, laminate countertops look better than ever. With proper care, a laminate kitchen countertop can last at least 10 to 20 years. However, this material is not as heat resistant or durable as natural stone.

Granite

Granite is a coarse or medium grained rock that’s rich in quartz and feldspar. The best thing about granite is that each slab is unique in look. Although this is probably the costliest material of the list, it adds value to one’s home. This material is resistant to heat, cuts, and scratches especially if the slab is sealed with polished and matte finishes.

Cultured Marble

Cultured marble is a blend of stone particles and resins that is combined with pigments to produce a wide range of colors and natural looking patterns. Cultured marble is a great choice for kitchen countertops seeing as how this material is waterproof, resistant to scratching, and if sealed stain resistant. Compared to marbles natural form this industrialized material is much more durable. Cultured marble comes in an array of colors and bolder veining’s than quartz to add character to your space.
